Is there a best counter workspace depth?

Answer:
We just had our kitchen, um, redone a year and a half ago, and I believe that our counters are 28 inches deep. But I would say that if you are going to have your kitchen redone or you're looking for new countertops, uh, the person who is going to help you design the kitchen would probably know what's best for you. But I believe that that is the standard in inches in America.
