Warren Carr
Warren is an Emmy award winning film and television producer with
more than 30 years experience in the film industry.
Warren is an Emmy award winning film and television producer with
more than 30 years experience in the film industry. He has extensive
experience in educational video-based programming having played a
key role in the development of distance learning programs in Canada.
He also has more than 35 feature film and television credits managing
projects for most American Studios and major television networks with
budgets up to $100M.
As president of Westbay Screen Ventures, Mr. Carr has worked for
most studios, including Sony Pictures, Spyglass, Disney, Universal,
Warner Bros, ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, Jim Henson and Alliance/Atlantis.
Warren has spent the greatest portion of his career as Production
Manager and Line Producer for feature film and television productions
in British Columbia - many of them Oscar and Emmy nominated productions.
These projects, for which Warren is solely accountable for from a
financial, operational and human resource perspective typically range
in scale from $5 million USD to over $100M USD for a large feature
film generally employing 150 to 200 production staff. As each project
is operated as its own company from start-up to completion, Warren
is very experienced with the start-up, ramp, execution, operation
and exit cycle inherent in the media production process. Through his
affiliations with the Directors Guild of Canada, the Directors Guild
of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Motion
Picture Production Industry Association Warren has extensive connections
that can assist Rouxbe.
In 2004, Warren was awarded an “Emmy” for his producing
role in “Door to Door” (William H. Macy). Other production
credits include “I Spy” (Eddie Murphy), Romeo Must Die
(Jet Li), “Little Woman” (Winona Ryder), Saving Silverman
(Jack Black), Dudley Do Right (Sarah Jessica Parker & Brendan
Fraser) and “Connie & Carla” (Nia Vardalos). He has
currently just completed his most recent project for Sony, “RV”
featuring Robin Williams.
